YMCA Outside School Hours Care provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school. At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.

We are currently recruiting for OSHC Educators on a casual basis to join our YMCA Palmview Outside Outside School Hours Care service.

About The Service

YMCA Palmview Outside School Hours Care is located at Palmview State Primary School and is licensed for 60 children. We offer Before and after school care from 6.00am to 9.00am and 2.30pm to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday. We also offer Vacation Care, operating from 6.00am to 6.00pm.

Here at Palmview YMCA we pride ourselves on our creative programming, team culture and relationships with children. We embed the school philosophy Trust, Connect, Grow and you can expect from us a supportive leadership team who encourage and support Educators to reach their fullest potential.

Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children's agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences for children and welcome educators with unique skill sets to share with children.

About The Role

As an OSHC Educator you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school and during school holiday periods. You'll assist in running fascinating, fun-filled and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting and musical activities.

Our children and Educators bring our inclusive space to life, ensuring our program is engaging with a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences.

Am I a good match?
  • You are currently studying or completed a Certificate, Diploma or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or similar
  • You have a fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imagination
  • You hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification
  • You hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one
