Public Sector People looking for a motivated and people-focused Human Resource Officer to join a council in Western Sydney.

Play a key role in delivering high-quality employee services and to contribute to recruitment, employee relations, and workforce strategy in a dynamic and supportive local government environment.

About The Role

  • Initial 3-month contract - likely to extend
  • $42ph + super
  • 7 hours per day with 1 hour lunch break
  • WFH options after initial period

This is a hands-on, collaborative role where no two days are the same, and your contribution directly impacts Council's ability to attract, retain and support its people.

What You'll Bring
  • Tertiary qualifications (Diploma or higher) and/or relevant experience in HR, recruitment, or employee relations
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • A sound understanding of contemporary HR practices and issues
  • Confidence using Microsoft Office and ability to learn new systems

Desirable:
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation affecting HR in local government
  • Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
