Join Gold Fields as a Mechanical Engineer Vacation Student for hands-on mining experience and professional growth in Perth.

Your Role

Here's what you will be doing:

  • Participate in a vacation program with tailored mentoring and technical development
  • Receive role-specific training at one of four operational mine sites
  • Work on a 5 days on, 2 days off roster in the Perth office or an 8 days on, 6 days off 12-hour shift roster on site
  • Gain practical experience in underground and open pit mining operations
  • Collaborate with an international team of experienced professionals
About You

The company is looking for:

  • Students currently in at least their second year of a relevant tertiary Engineering qualification
  • Holders of a C Class Manual Driver's License or ability to obtain one
  • Ability to obtain National Police Clearance
  • Exposure or experience in mining or heavy industry is highly regarded
  • Tech-savvy, quick learner, and team player
  • Comfortable working in remote locations
