Overview

Student Engineer - Mechanical - Perth Vacation Program) — Hatch, Perth, Western Australia, Australia.

The Hatch Vacation Student Program provides the opportunity to work on real projects and gain practical industry skills. As part of the Mechanical & Piping team, you will gain exposure to Mechanical & Piping design engineering activities on a range of projects across the resources and energy sectors. You may be involved in various phases of projects from conceptual design and feasibility studies through to detailed engineering. The 12-week program commences on Monday, 17 Nov 2025. The program includes office closure from COB Friday, 19 December 2025 and reopens Monday, 5 January 2026, with the Vacation Program concluding from COB Friday, February 20th, 2026.

Qualifications
  • Working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, ideally in your third year (or later) of study, with a strong academic record
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate and think laterally to solve problems
  • An interest in exploring a future with a global consulting company and a commitment to creating positive change
  • You must submit an academic transcript for this role
