Overview

Are you passionate about delivering top-notch technical experiences for live performances, exhibitions, and community events? At the Redland Performing Arts Centre (RPAC) and Redland Art Gallery (RAG), you'll take the lead in sound, lighting, staging, and audio-visual production - helping bring unforgettable moments to life while ensuring the highest technical and safety standards.

Base pay range: A$76,958.92/yr; Permanent Full Time – 38 hours per week; $76,958.92 Annually + up to 13% super; RCC Employees' Grade 5.

Responsibilities
  • Leading technical teams to deliver live events to the highest industry standards.
  • Acting as Technical Duty Supervisor during productions and events.
  • Carrying out a broad range of technical duties, including design, vision, staging, and set construction.
  • Providing technical documentation and ensuring the correct setup, operation, and maintenance of all equipment and systems.
  • Championing a strong safety culture by coordinating WHS practices and participating in training and inductions.
  • Collaborating with internal stakeholders, community clients, and artists to deliver an exceptional visitor and artist experience.
Qualifications
  • Strong commitment to excellence in customer service.
  • Confident supervising others and making sound decisions under pressure.
  • Solid knowledge of current theatre equipment, systems, and practices.
  • Thrives in a fast-paced, collaborative, and multi-disciplinary team environment.
Requirements
  • Current C Class Driver's Licence.
  • Certificate 3 in Live Production and Technical Services, or suitable entertainment industry experience, or trade or tertiary qualification.
  • Availability to work as required, including evenings and weekends, within the Full-Time hours per week.
  • Appointment is subject to a satisfactory criminal history check.
  • Legal right to work in Australia.
Position details

Permanent Full Time – 38 hours per week. Location: Cleveland (RPAC) with occasional work at RAG. Base pay range previously noted. Closing date: 08/09/2025.
