The Opportunity:
We have an exciting opportunity for a Media Director (or what we like to call - Partnerships) to work on Australia's largest client, the Australian Government.
You will work on campaigns with purpose, that make a real difference to this country. This role will enable you to think of opportunities that exist outside of standard spots and dots media.
As Partnerships Director, you are responsible for your team ensuring that the planning, buying, and final execution of the connections (media) plan.
- You lead the Partnerships process with many different disciplines such as Client, Strategy, Media and SBU's; however, it is the seamless collaboration with Design Directors that encourages the pursuit for perfection in connections solution delivery.
- You are responsible for the output and development of the Senior Partnerships Managers, Partnerships Managers, Partnerships Traders, and Partnerships Executives within your team. You drive the team to explore and identify non-traditional partnerships opportunities.
- As the Partnerships Director, you need to be able to develop the connections plan, identify partnerships opportunities that can exist outside the standard paid media environments. You are expected to lead strong relationships with agency partners to create new connections opportunities.
- You have previous experience within the industry, and you have a fundamental and robust knowledge of the Australian media landscape across multiple categories. You possess raw talent in bringing together shrewd negotiation skills, outstanding interpersonal skills, and a passion for your client's business that infects the entire team that works with you on campaigns.
What we are looking for:
- A strong background in media investment and trading, with a focus on offline channels.
- A deep understanding of the Australian media landscape.
- Ability to identify non-traditional partnership opportunities.
- Solid presentation skills for client recommendations, driving innovation with media owners and non-paid partnerships.
- Your ability to create a positive work environment, directly manage a team and support in the development of the junior Trading craft.
- Demonstration of strong ownership over the development of all Connections Blueprints and Connections Plans.
