We are seeking applications for a Speech Pathologist (Grade 1) to join our Allied Health team at Accord, on a permanent full-time basis. We specialise in supporting people with an intellectual disability, with a focus on building their experiences with us. We will work alongside the multi-disciplinary team to provide clinical speech pathology services to clients/patients using evidence-based clinical practice skills. Graduates are encouraged to apply
The PositionThe Speech Pathologist (Grade 1) role is based in the Allied Health team at Accord and is permanent full-time.
Responsibilities- Assessment of patients with communication, cognitive and swallowing disorders
- Development of individual treatment and therapy programs (with long- and short-term goals)
- Completes clinical documentation and undertakes administrative tasks as required. This may include communication of assessment results and therapy outcomes to the referring party and other parties involved in the patient's management.
- Actively prioritises own caseload including participating in relevant clinical review meetings and case conferences as appropriate.
- Supports and liaises with patients, carers, colleagues, medical, nursing, allied health, support staff, external agencies and the private sector to provide coordinated multidisciplinary care
- Educates patients/carers in assessment, treatment and post-discharge management and organises discharge summaries/referrals to other services, as appropriate
The ideal candidate will have completed a tertiary qualification in Speech Pathology and have full membership with Speech Pathology Australia. Successful applicants must hold a valid Australian driver's license, NDIS Screening Clearance, First Aid & CPR certificate and Working with Children.

We can offer you- Salary: $70,866 to $97,980 per annum plus 12% Superannuation
- Permanent full-time, working 38 hours per week
