NATS is the UK's leading air navigation service provider, handling over 2 million flights each year. They provide air traffic control services from 2 control centres supporting airports across the UK and a wide range of commercial solutions to over 30 countries. Their people are at the heart of their purpose to advance aviation and keep the skies safe.

They are seeking a Medical Officer (Aeromedical Examiner and Occupational Physician) to carry out regulatory medicals for the Aeromedical Centre and provide expert advice for the comprehensive Occupational Health Service (OHS). The in-house team perform a business-critical function for operational employees, making key aeromedical safety decisions in a fast-moving operational environment. NATS also provides valued occupational medical advice for employees at all sites with an in-depth understanding of the business.

Responsibilities:

  1. Provide specialist occupational medical advice to the business and clinical case management of referrals from managers.
  2. Perform CAA aviation medicals at various NATS sites in line with business requirements, including regular clinics at Prestwick Centre, Swanwick Centre, and Airports and provide Aeromedical Examiner advice to operational Air Traffic Controllers.
  3. Lead the administrative team and assist oversight of day-to-day clinic operations. Reporting to the Chief Medical Officer and deputising as required.
