Kitchen Assistant role at Clayton Utz in Melbourne. Rare opportunity to join our kitchen team with balanced working hours and great benefits.

Overview

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a kitchen hand to join our Catering team located in our Melbourne office on a full time basis. Flexibility in hours will be required from time to time (after hours functions – breakfasts and dinners).

Responsibilities
  • Assist in the preparation of food for client functions and events;
  • Assist with staff events, including morning and afternoon teas;
  • Assist with working lunches;
  • Assist with our on-site café;
  • Dishwashing and ensuring timely cleanup of equipment;
  • Ensure food preparation areas and associated equipment meet appropriate standards of cleanliness;
  • Comply with all Melbourne City Council health requirements.
Note: this role requires use of the Microsoft Office suite of programs.Qualifications & Skills
  • Relevant food safety qualifications and minimum 2 years full-time experience in a kitchen;
  • Experience in corporate kitchens is highly regarded;
  • Passion for producing high quality food;
  • Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure;
  • Excellent teamwork skills;
  • Strong attention to detail;
  • Unwavering adherence to and enforcement of health and hygiene standards;
  • Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
