OverviewWe currently have an exciting opportunity for a kitchen hand to join our Catering team located in our Melbourne office on a full time basis. Flexibility in hours will be required from time to time (after hours functions – breakfasts and dinners).
Responsibilities- Assist in the preparation of food for client functions and events;
- Assist with staff events, including morning and afternoon teas;
- Assist with working lunches;
- Assist with our on-site café;
- Dishwashing and ensuring timely cleanup of equipment;
- Ensure food preparation areas and associated equipment meet appropriate standards of cleanliness;
- Comply with all Melbourne City Council health requirements.
- Relevant food safety qualifications and minimum 2 years full-time experience in a kitchen;
- Experience in corporate kitchens is highly regarded;
- Passion for producing high quality food;
- Strong work ethic and ability to remain calm under pressure;
- Excellent teamwork skills;
- Strong attention to detail;
- Unwavering adherence to and enforcement of health and hygiene standards;
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills.
