Job Description

ORS is looking for an experienced State Manager to lead a team of Behaviour Support Practitioners and Team Leaders across our four locations in WA. You will be responsible for providing day-to-day clinical support and guidance, driving quality and performance, report reviewing, and maintaining strong employee morale and retention. An important part of this role will be working with individuals in your team on their learning and career goals to ensure that everyone who works at ORS is able to reach their fullest potential. ORS employs over 600 people around Australia, with more than 250 in the Positive Behaviour Support Division. You will be joining a true market leader and influencer in the Positive Behaviour Support sector This role will form part of the senior leadership team and will report directly to the National Behaviour Support Manager.

Main Duties & Responsibilities
  • Direct management of 4 Regional Managers in WA
  • Maintaining high job satisfaction & morale for the 70+ Positive Behaviour Support Practitioners in WA
  • Co-ordinating recruitment & growth across WA
  • Ensuring best practice & high standards are maintained across the division
  • Managing major customer relationships
  • Liaising with Marketing & Talent Acquisition teams to drive growth across the state
  • Travel to our 4 office locations in WA - Stirling, Jandakot, Morley & Mandurah

Psychology Internship Program

To support employees with their supervised practice pathways to general registration as a Psychologist, ORS funds $7,500 in annual supervision costs to complete an internship program. Currently, we employ over 180 Provisional Psychologists, and understand what it takes to support individuals effectively through to full registration. Supervision is either provided in-house by an experienced and registered supervisor, or employees may find their own external supervisor, and ORS pays up to $7,500 per year.

Learning and Development

To help our staff continually develop their skills and remain on top of evidence-based approaches, we run discipline-specific professional development programs throughout Australia through webinars, face-to-face and one-on-one mentoring by our experienced and qualified Learning and Development Managers, who have PhDs and/or extensive discipline-specific experience including as university-level educators.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in Behaviour Support (desirable).
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a leadership position within an allied health organisation (desirable).
  • A Psychology, Counselling, Board-Certified Behaviour Analysts (BCBA), Teaching, Social Work, Social Sciences or Criminology qualification.
  • Experience working with individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Intellectual Disability, and other complex diagnoses.
  • Experience using CBT, DBT, person-centred and trauma-informed approaches and behaviour assessments.
  • A car and licence.
