Senior Manager – Strategic Business Development (Travel Insurance) reporting to the Head of Business Development. This is a national role with a large acquisition target in growing new partnerships. The role requires a strong, visible, responsive and driven individual with strong commercial acumen and the ability to leverage stakeholder capabilities in a coordinated and collaborative way within Allianz Partners Australia and with external stakeholders.
We are seeking someone with Travel Insurance experience for this role
The role will focus on building new partnerships in the Travel Insurance business with senior stakeholders, handling technical conversations with the product and legal teams, and leading commercial partnership negotiations. The role will also work across adjacent lines of business where appropriate to leverage and grow market share.
Key Responsibilities/What You Do- Establish New Business Opportunities for Travel Insurance Partnerships
- Drive a new business development strategy to secure sustainable new commercial relationships in the Travel Insurance Sector
- Demonstrate experience executing new business partnerships and external relationship management strategies
- Lead all aspects of deal execution, from business case development to deal structuring and negotiating, with support from team leads (Sales / Ops GMs).
- Develop and maintain strong relationships within key industry segments and potential partners
- Provide well-rounded leadership skills with advanced stakeholder skills to influence internal and external stakeholders to drive strategic outcomes
- Evaluate potential opportunities' strategic and economic impact, and prioritise efforts based on impact.
- Deliver increased market share due to the delivery of strategic commercial opportunities
- Influence product development and growth initiatives to support new business acquisition
- Champion change throughout the business to increase Allianz Partners' capacity and capability to accelerate change for competitive advantage
- Provides sector and emerging market business intelligence through focused sector engagement.
- Develop and share within the organisation, industry, market and customer intelligence.
- Construct and articulate competitive insights to build broader Business Intelligence.
- Strategic market mapping to identify and leverage business strengths and customer needs, including researching business opportunities and viable income streams.
- Monitor and report on competitor behaviours as relevant to the market. This would include notifying the underwriting team of competitors\' new product developments and pricing.
- Undertake, conduct and analyse research relating to your designated market to develop and improve service in line with customer and industry needs.
Ensure that relevant change management plans and communication strategies for all-new initiatives, campaigns, tender submissions, client on-boarding and off-boarding, and long-term and short-term projects are agreed upon with stakeholders.
- Ensures expectations and commitments are formally set and outcomes are clearly understood and tracked.
- Nurture stakeholder and business partnerships by identifying opportunities to improve business outcomes.
- Effectively engage and drive our Partners to deliver an exceptional customer experience on time and budget.
- Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, specifically Operations, Technical, Pricing, Finance and Market Management.
You will have a strong background in a New Business Development role within travel insurance partnerships working to deliver set KPIs and targets.
Other Skills And Experience Will Include- Proven ability to meet and exceed KPIs and extensive sales/revenue targets within a business development role
- End-to-end development of client relationships from first contact to contract and ongoing management, including identifying and successfully onboarding additional revenue streams
- Have the ability to identify potential problems and provide suitable solutions proactively
- Excellent with prioritising and managing time
- Ability to work towards strict deadlines and work under pressure
