Senior Hydrogeologist

S&ME is looking for a passionate and experienced Senior Hydrogeologist to join our continuously growing team in Charlotte. Requisition Number: 2025-1350-06. • Project Leadership: Manage full project lifecycles, including planning, budgeting, client relations, and technical execution.
• Technical Fieldwork: Conduct complex site characterizations, groundwater/surface water studies, leachate and gas assessments, and compliance evaluations.
• Reporting & Permitting: Develop detailed environmental reports, permit applications, and technical documentation.
• Proposal Development: Lead and support proposals for complex, high-value projects.
• Team Development: Mentor junior staff and contribute to knowledge-sharing across disciplines.
• Client Engagement: Build lasting relationships with clients and represent S&ME at industry events and professional organizations.

• Bachelor's degree in Geology or related field
• Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience
• Experience in nuclear and/or waste management markets is a plus
• Professional Geologist (PG) license in North Carolina
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; attention to detail; and ability to meet deadlines
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word, and ability to learn additional software applications
