Trade Assistant/Labourer – Metal Fabrication

Bibra Lake | Calibre Spraying

Calibre Spraying is a leading manufacturer of advanced agricultural machinery, and we're looking for a reliable and experienced Trade Assistant to join our team in Bibra Lake.

About the Role:
This is a hands-on role assisting our fabrication team in the workshop. You'll be supporting the day-to-day build and assembly of custom equipment, helping us deliver high-quality products to farmers across the country.

Responsibilities:

  • Assisting the fabrication team in the workshop during build and assembly of custom equipment
  • Reading and interpreting basic workshop drawings
  • Cutting and grinding steel using drop saws, grinders, cold saws, and plasma cutters
  • Using hand and power tools safely and effectively
  • Measuring and marking out materials
  • Keeping workspaces clean and organised
  • Moving and handling steel components safely (forklift licence preferred)
  • Assisting with metal fabrication and general workshop duties

Qualifications & What We're Looking For:

  • Previous experience in a metal fabrication workshop (minimum 1–2 years)
  • Good attitude and willingness to learn
  • Able to follow instructions and work in a team
  • Physically fit and reliable
  • Safety-conscious and proactive
  • Experience cutting/working in metal fabrication and operating relevant tools
