We are seeking to establish a pool of Humanities and Social Sciences (HASS) Teachers for permanent and fixed term, full-time and part-time vacancies which may arise during the 2026 school year. Appointments may be offered at any time for vacancies that commence during this period.

The Role

We are seeking innovative and enthusiastic educators with the ability to provide high quality teaching in the Humanities and Social Sciences curriculum.

Responsibilities and qualities

The desired applicants should have strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively with students, staff, parents and the wider community. Suitable applicants would be committed to student achievement and use data to make evidence-based decisions. The capacity to embrace feedback and use different teaching strategies to connect and engage with students at different academic levels to support them to reach their full potential is highly desirable.

Qualifications and experience

Suitable applicants should have strong knowledge of the Western Australian HASS curriculum and preferably experience in teaching ATAR or General courses. Experience in teaching Business Management and Enterprise and Modern History is advantageous. Additionally, experience with High Impact Teaching Strategies would be desirable as the school has an established Whole School Instructional Framework.

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
