Where you'll be working

Reporting to the Strategy, Innovation & Digital Health Directorate, this position will rotate across the SESLHD major hospitals, including Prince of Wales Hospital, the Sydney Eye Hospital, the Royal Hospital for Women, St George Hospital, and Sutherland Hospital.

What you'll be doing

The Strategy, Innovation and Digital Health Team encompasses strategic planning functions, analytics, technology, change, and project management resources to ensure strategic allocation of resources to key organisational priorities and initiatives. Built around three key pillars, it drives and enables the delivery of key strategic and operational initiatives by developing innovative solutions to improve the quality and efficiency of service delivery. The directorate oversees the development of organisation strategies and plans, while also monitoring the implementation of such plans. This department handles SESLHD's most pressing organisational problems and explores opportunities such as technology in health, change and innovation, and environmental sustainability practices.

The Priority Projects Manager is a senior role where the successful applicant will work independently within the hospital site or district-wide service, and work directly with the General Manager, Executive, or senior leadership team within their assigned location. Note that location will change over time based on current priorities and needs.

Applicants are required to work onsite and full time, have excellent project management skills, and strong experience in leading projects across all phases of the project lifespan. Previous experience leading quality improvement projects at the hospital or district level, analyzing large patient datasets, and a demonstrated understanding of hospital revenue/funding and operational aspects of service delivery will be highly regarded.

The role will also provide ongoing advice and guidance to local project teams around project management, implementation, and reporting requirements for key strategic projects. Strong experience is required in independently running projects at the hospital level, managing stakeholders, and implementing sustainable changes.
