The Role

As a Mathematics teacher at Safety Bay SHS, you will ideally be a conscientious, flexible, and innovative teacher committed to the development of the whole student. You will ideally actively engage with both the school and the wider community, be highly reflective in your teaching practices, and employ evidence-based decision-making and differentiation. Your role as a Mathematics teacher at Safety Bay SHS is not just about delivering content but about fostering a culture of curiosity and critical thinking. We are looking for applicants who will self-reflect and assess the effectiveness of their teaching practice, promote an environment of active and positive learning, and provide educational opportunities and activities that enable students to achieve their highest potential. With excellent organisational and interpersonal skills, you will ideally work closely with students, teachers, and the community to achieve the best educational outcomes for students.

Eligibility

To work with us, you must:

  • hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment. More information about employment eligibility can be found on our website.
  • apply for a WA Working with Children Check before you start; and
  • consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
