Overview

Dianella Secondary College (SC) is seeking an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic, collaborative, and experienced Mathematics team and be pivotal in the future success of our students. This is a permanent full-time position commencing Term 4, 2025. The college is part of the Metropolitan Teaching Program, which provides valuable financial incentives for our dedicated teachers; you can receive up to an additional $3,000 a year.

The Role

Dianella SC is seeking an outstanding Mathematics teacher to join our dynamic, collaborative, and experienced Mathematics team and be pivotal in the future success of our students.

  • Teach Mathematics to students across Year 7 to Year 12; capacity to teach Australian Tertiary Admissions and Rank (ATAR) Mathematics subjects; ability to teach Mathematics Methods is advantageous.
  • Deliver innovative and inclusive classroom practice; cultivate a safe and supportive learning environment for students of varying ability levels.
  • Work in partnership with New North Education Initiative (NNEI) schools.
  • Differentiate the curriculum to engage and support learners; contribute to improving student performance in literacy and numeracy; provide appropriate intervention and support as needed.
  • Demonstrate excellent knowledge of the Western Australian Curriculum and deliver a broad secondary Mathematics curriculum using diverse teaching models.
  • Build and maintain collaborative and respectful partnerships across the college and wider community; contribute to the college's whole-school pedagogy framework.

Eligibility
  • Hold an eligible teacher qualification and registration.
  • Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen, permanent resident, or have a valid visa with relevant work rights for the term of the appointment.

  • Consent to a Nationally Coordinated Criminal History Check and obtain a current Screening Clearance Number issued by the Department of Education's Screening Unit before you start.
