This role sits within our Studio X team, forming part of the global marketing partnership between WPP and a major FMCG brand.

The partnership covers more than 200 countries and territories where the brand operates. This role is focused on Australia and New Zealand, part of the Asia-Pacific region.

This is a hybrid role with time spent in the Ogilvy office, WFH and with the expectation to collaborate on site with clients and teammates for one to two days per week.

Role Overview

As a Social Content Creative in our team, you will concept and produce planned and reactive content for a wide range of much-loved brands, including adapting and localising assets for local audiences in Australia and New Zealand.

This is an exciting role for someone who is passionate about social media and who has their finger on the pulse of trends, culture-first creativity, emerging platforms, and formats.

You will have a passion for creating impactful content and engaging narratives for brands, and a desire to innovate on different platforms, including Instagram, TikTok and YouTube.

We are looking for an established Social Content Creative with experience concepting and producing social creative in an agency or in-house role.

You will be part of a team that designs and develops content for social channels spanning a large portfolio of market-leading and emerging brands.

You will be part of the dedicated social team that creates impact via social strategies and entertaining content in support of always-on brand and campaign activity. In this role, you will:

  • Plan, shoot, and edit high-quality content for social media platforms, including both still photography and video content
  • Demonstrate expertise in visual design using Adobe Creative Suite and other professional production and editing tools
  • Execute rapid content creation to capitalise on breaking news, viral trends, and cultural moments
  • Apply deep understanding of platform-specific social creativity and audience engagement strategies
  • Attend events and experiences to capture and produce content in real-time, working with ambassadors, client teams, and fans
  • Applying WPP Open, our AI intelligence platform, to drive efficiencies and innovation in content production and personalisation
Platform expertise
  • Leverage mastery of native creator tools across major social platforms, including expertise in Instagram and TikTok
  • Adapt content style and format to maximise performance on different social media channels
  • Stay current with platform updates, algorithm changes, and emerging features
  • Contribute creative ideas and concepts to client presentations, playing an active role in client presentations and internal workshops
Experience and Skills
  • Bring a proven record of accomplishment as a successful social content creator or influencer
  • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication skills across all content formats
  • Work effectively as both an independent self-starter and a collaborative team member
  • Comfortably assume leadership responsibilities when projects require direction and coordination
  • Experience with Adobe Creative Suite required
