About the role
This full-time Meat Manager position at Klose's Foodland in Nairne, offers an exciting opportunity to lead a team of passionate butchers and oversee the meat operations for this growing supermarket chain. As the Meat Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the provision of high-quality meat products and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
What you'll be doing
Manage and oversee all aspects of the meat department, including ordering, receiving, storing, and displaying fresh meat products
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and maintain strict hygiene standards in the meat preparation area
Train, develop, and supervise a team of skilled butchers, delegating tasks and providing guidance to enhance their performance
Analyse sales data, identify trends, and make informed decisions to optimise inventory and product offerings
Provide exceptional customer service, offering product recommendations and catering to special requests
Collaborate with the store management team to implement marketing initiatives and merchandising strategies
What we're looking for
Extensive experience as a Meat Manager or Senior Butcher, with a proven track record of leading a team and driving operational excellence
Comprehensive knowledge of meat processing, handling, and storage procedures, as well as food safety regulations
Strong customer service orientation and the ability to provide expert guidance and recommendations to customers
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively manage and motivate a team
Proficiency in inventory management, data analysis, and decision-making to optimise business performance
A passion for the meat industry and a commitment to delivering high-quality products and an exceptional customer experience
