Position Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced HR Manager, ANZ to lead the Human Resources function across Australia and New Zealand for two of our globally renowned brands – Michael Kors and Jimmy Choo. This is a true HR generalist role with responsibility for the full employee lifecycle across retail and corporate teams, ensuring alignment with Capri Holdings' global HR strategy while tailoring solutions to local business needs.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in delivering HR initiatives that support the business' strategic objectives, ensuring compliance with employment legislation including the General Retail Industry Award, and fostering a positive and high-performance workplace culture.

Key Responsibilities
  • Business Partnership – Act as a trusted advisor to Regional and Local Brand Leaders, Store Managers, and the Corporate Team on all HR-related matters; provide strategic and operational HR support to retail and head office functions.
  • Employee Relations & Compliance – Manage employee relations issues end-to-end, including performance management, grievances, investigations, and disciplinary matters; ensure compliance with Australian and New Zealand employment legislation and internal HR policies; interpret and apply the General Retail Industry Award to ensure wage compliance, working hours, leave entitlements, and rostering obligations are met.
  • Talent Acquisition & Onboarding – Oversee recruitment activities for both retail and corporate roles, ensuring a strong talent pipeline and brand alignment; support hiring managers with interview processes, offers, and onboarding.
  • Performance & Development – Drive performance management processes, including goal setting, mid-year and annual reviews, and development planning; identify training and development needs; partner with the global HR team to implement local learning initiatives; collaborate with APAC HR and Finance teams on salary reviews, incentive programs, and benefits administration; ensure alignment with market benchmarks and compliance with award obligations.
  • HR Operations – Maintain and update employee records in HRIS systems (e.g., Workday); lead one direct report – HR & Talent Officer; prepare and analyse HR reports and metrics to support business decisions.
  • Culture & Engagement – Lead local engagement initiatives and employee communication programs; champion DE&I and wellbeing programs aligned with Capri Holdings' global values.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Minimum 5+ years of HR generalist experience in a fast-paced, multi-site environment (retail or luxury fashion preferred).
  • Strong working knowledge of Australian employment law and the General Retail Industry Award.
  • Experience in New Zealand employment law is highly desirable.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex employee relations cases with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to influence across all levels.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and solutions-oriented.
  • Experience using HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday) is preferred.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline.
