Position overviewThe Energy & Resources (E&R) Program is responsible for delivering $335m of impact and value to improve the safety, reliability, resilience and productivity of the energy and resources sectors in Australia and the Asia-Pacific Region. We are seeking an experienced project manager to plan, manage and deliver key project outcomes within the E&R Program in accordance with the Bureau Delivery Model. The Project Manager, E&R, will work under the direction of the Projects Team Lead to deliver projects delivering impact and value to the energy and resources sectors. Projects will involve collaboration with colleagues across several Programs, including providing technical input from areas such as Data and Digital Group and Research and operational forecasting. The Project Manager will tailor project management methodologies under the guidance of the Bureau\'s Enterprise Portfolio Management Office.
The ideal candidate is a team player who is outcomes-focused, communicates clearly with a range of stakeholders, possesses advanced project management skills, and can tailor processes based on each project\'s characteristics to ensure appropriate control.
Role responsibilities- Plan and drive the delivery of projects, including financial and resource forecasting, and support team performance.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to manage risks and issues and deliver project outcomes.
- Maintain project artefacts following prescribed standards and contribute to improvements in project management governance, processes and templates.
- Ensure the Bureau\'s Commitment to Diversity & Inclusion is applied in the work area.
- Comply with Bureau work, health and safety policies and procedures and consider the health and safety of staff, contractors and visitors.
A degree or diploma from an Australian educational institution, or a comparable overseas qualification appropriate to the duties; OR other comparable qualifications appropriate to the duties.
Merit poolThe selection process will establish a merit pool that may be used to fill similar positions within 18 months.
