Overview

Join to apply for the Advanced Practitioner - Dandenong role at Department of Justice and Community Safety, Victoria.

Community Correctional Services (CCS) contributes to the safety of the community by applying practices that reduce reoffending and connecting individuals to programs, services and community. CCS provides management of individuals on court orders, people who have committed serious sex and violent offences on post sentence supervision, and prisoners on parole.

Responsibilities
  • conducting risk assessments
  • preparing case plans
  • providing interventions
  • coordinating service providers and care teams
  • address the underlying causes of offending
  • leading and developing case management staff
What we're looking for / Qualifications
  • demonstrated experience in effective case management practices with complex clients
  • excellent verbal communication skills and confidence in dealing with people exhibiting challenging behaviours
  • a proven ability to model pro-social behaviours to a caseload of individuals
  • a passion for supporting clients in the justice system while contributing to community safety
  • an ability to lead and mentor staff to achieve their best
