The Management Accountant will play a key role in supporting the financial performance and accountability of CatholicCare Victoria through accurate reporting, financial analysis, and ongoing stakeholder engagement. This position is responsible for delivering timely and insightful financial support to a range of stakeholders including executive leaders, senior managers, program managers, and both internal and external partners.

Key to success in this position will be two to three years post graduate experience.

Specifically, the position is responsible for:
  • Drawing on your commercial acumen and analytical capabilities to support program financial management, budgeting, forecasting, and program performance reviews.
  • Hands-on processing, including journal preparation, reconciliations, financial system maintenance, and contributing to the month-end and year-end close.
  • Ensure accuracy in financial records and compliance with reporting requirements (e.g. BAS, FBT, ACNC, Workcover), as required.
  • Lead and coordinate finance team members in areas such as payroll and financial accounting when required and contribute to the planning and delivery of finance projects.
To be considered for this position, applicants require:
  • Relevant tertiary qualification in accounting or business-related degree.
  • Progressing towards membership of the Institute of Chartered Accountants or CPA Australia.
  • Over 3 years of substantial experience in financial and management accounting, including involvement in financial change management initiatives to improve processes and drive strategic outcomes.
  • Skilled in financial data analysis and benchmarking design, with a strong ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and performance reports.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and application of regulatory and legislative requirements applicable to CatholicCare Victoria as an organisation.
