Description

The position is responsible for assisting the Manager of Communications & Marketing in leading and managing the delivery of the Corporate Communications & Marketing services for the community and Council.

Location: Katoomba, New South Wales

Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver high-quality internal and external corporate communications and marketing initiatives, including media management, digital and social media, web content, corporate marketing, graphic design, branding, internal communications, civic and corporate events, and community engagement.
  • Support and enhance the brand and reputation of Blue Mountains City Council through relevant and responsive communications, marketing, and community engagement practices that meet stakeholder needs.
  • Provide timely and factual media releases and responses, create media promotion opportunities, and handle issues management and crisis communications.

The role supervises a team of specialist staff on various projects, ensuring strategic outcomes and resource coordination over multiple work cycles or long-term projects.

Remuneration: Base salary starting at $114,375 gross per annum, plus:

  • 12% superannuation
  • Performance payment of 1% - 3.5% of annual salary
  • Annual award increase
