The position is required to assist the Manager Communications & Marketing to lead and manage the delivery of the Corporate Communications & Marketing service for the community and Council.

This position will:

· Ensure the development and delivery of high quality internal and external corporate communications and marketing initiatives, including media management, digital and social media, web content, corporate marketing, graphic design and branding, internal communications, civic and corporate events and community engagement.

· Support and strengthen the brand and reputation of Blue Mountains City Council by providing relevant and responsive communications, marketing and community engagement practices that meet or exceed the needs of stakeholders.

· Provide factual and timely media releases and responses and demonstrate initiative in creating media promotion opportunities, and have experience with , issues management and crisis communications.

The position will supervise the actions of a team of specialist staff on regular projects or assignments. They will ensure strategic outcomes or the coordination of resources covering multiple work cycles or long-term projects is planned appropriately.

Remuneration: base salary commencing at $114,375 gross per annum

+ 12% superannuation

+ performance payment 1% - 3.5% annual salary

+ annual award increase
