Crowne Plaza Canberra is seeking a Guest Service Agent to enhance guests' experiences. Key responsibilities include check-in, upselling, problem resolution, guest recognition, and fulfilling requests.

This is a full-time position suitable for candidates with experience in the hotel or hospitality industry.

Your daily tasks will involve:
  • Providing assistance to guests such as offering toiletries or directions.
  • Maintaining a professional appearance by adhering to uniform and grooming policies.
  • Regularly communicating with team members and other departments to foster good relations.
  • Greeting guests warmly, recognizing regular visitors and IHG Rewards Club members.
  • Handling guest complaints and providing service recovery when necessary.
  • Processing check-in and check-out procedures, including cashiering and guest account management.
  • Staying knowledgeable about the hotel and local surroundings to make helpful recommendations.
  • Using safety equipment as directed and following safety procedures.
  • Understanding our products and services to effectively communicate with guests.
Qualifications and skills we require:
  • Excellent personal presentation and positive attitude.
  • Proven skills in guest relations, problem-solving, and time management.
  • Previous Front Office or Reception experience in a luxury environment focused on attentive guest service.
  • A team player who collaborates across departments to deliver exceptional service.
  • Attention to detail to create memorable guest experiences.
  • Flexibility to work mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
  • Licence to work in Australia.
