About Them:
ACRWORLD are currently seeking an experienced Office Manager / Accounts Officer to join a well-established and growing construction company based in Newcastle, NSW.
Our client is a small, close-knit team with a strong reputation for quality work and a supportive workplace culture. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives in a varied role, enjoys autonomy, and is confident managing both office operations and accounting tasks using Xero.
About the Role
This is a dual-purpose position that combines administrative oversight with financial responsibilities. The successful candidate will be the backbone of the office—ensuring day-to-day tasks run efficiently while also managing bookkeeping and supporting compliance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, invoicing, and payroll using Xero
- Oversee general office administration and workflow
- Assist with BAS preparation and liaise with external accountants
- Coordinate communication between internal staff, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients
- Maintain accurate documentation and filing systems
- Provide project support including scheduling, compliance tracking, and document management
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Demonstrated experience using Xero (essential)
- A strong background in accounts and office administration
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Excellent communication and time management abilities
- The ability to work autonomously and take ownership of your role
- Experience in or understanding of the construction industry (highly regarded but not essential)
