Experienced Vet Nurse - Greencross Cockburn

Greencross Cockburn is looking for an Experienced Full-time Vet Nurse to join their team. We are a modern and established community-focused practice with lovely, loyal clients. Located conveniently next to Petbarn, we provide a full range of pet care and a positive client experience. We are committed to providing the highest quality patient care with a focus on stress-free handling to ensure our patients are as comfortable as possible.

Overview

As an integral part of our nursing team, you will work alongside experienced vets and nurses in a well-supported setting. This is a permanent full-time role with opportunities to take initiative and contribute to clinic operations and efficiency.

Responsibilities
  • Permanent Full-time hours
  • Collaborate with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Undertake general nursing tasks, including pre- and post-operative care, animal pathology, and emergency and critical care
  • Perform minor procedures when required
  • Maintain the hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Encourage and be supported to take initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency
  • Handle client enquiries professionally in person, by email, and over the phone
Qualifications
  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse with at least 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Strong surgical experience with the ability to monitor anaesthetics competently
  • Calm, mature, empathetic with great communication and customer service skills
  • Experience guiding and mentoring nurse team members
  • Knowledge of RX Works is ideal but not essential
  • Experience in team-based care advantageous
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team
