Overview

Greencross Cockburn is looking for an Experienced Full-time Vet Nurse to join their team. It is a modern and established community focused practice with loyal clients. Located next to Petbarn, the clinic benefits from cross-referrals and provides a full range of pet care to deliver a positive experience.


We are committed to providing the highest quality of care for our patients and the very best service for our clients. We have a high focus on stress free handling to ensure our patients are as comfortable as possible.



Responsibilities
  • Permanent Full-time hours
  • Collaborating with the veterinary team to ensure high standards of patient care
  • Undertaking general nursing tasks, including pre and post-operative care, animal pathology and emergency and critical care
  • Performing minor procedures when required
  • Maintaining the overall hygiene of the practice, including surgical areas and equipment
  • Encouraged and supported to take initiative to enhance clinic operations and efficiency
  • Handling client enquiries professionally in person, by email and over the phone


Qualifications
  • Qualified Veterinary Nurse with at least 2+ years of clinical experience
  • Strong surgical experience with the ability to monitor anaesthetics competently
  • Calm, mature, empathetic with great communication and customer service skills
  • Experience guiding and mentoring nurse team members
  • Knowledge of RX Works is ideal but not essential
  • Experience in team-based care advantageous
  • Ability to work well autonomously and also within a team environment
