Cyber Security Analyst

We are seeking a talented Cyber Security Analyst for our esteemed Federal Government Client.

This is a contract role from March 2025 until December 2025, with possible extensions based on funding and approval.

Key Duties:

  • Collect and analyze cyber security data to identify the root causes of attacks against the ICT environment.
  • Implement counter-measures to prevent attacks and restore system operations.
  • Collaborate with the internal ICT team and business areas to communicate security limitations and produce documentation or reports.
  • Conduct cyber threat hunting exercises and provide threat intelligence to the team.
  • Assist in developing standard operating procedures for cyber security incident response.

Skills and Capabilities:

  • Essential experience using Sentinel or similar SIEM solutions.
  • Familiarity with the Australian Government Information Security Manual.
  • Best practice knowledge of cyber security monitoring processes.
  • Experience in cyber incident response.
  • Experience in cyber security monitoring within or for other Federal government entities.

Requirements:

  • Duration: Contract until December 2025
  • Australian Citizenship with current NV1 clearance
  • Australian Citizens with current NV1 Clearance
