At Infinite Aged Care, our Hospitality Assistants play a key role in meeting our residents' daily needs. Our kitchens and cafes report to our Head Chef who manages several food services across our care home and values hard working, dedicated and compassionate employees to be the face of the hospitality operations. This role involves high standards of food preparation and service, in-room service, catering support for events, and ensuring dining areas are clean, safe and welcoming for residents.

Responsibilities
  • Make each dining experience unforgettable and enjoyable for our elderly residents.
  • Maintain excellent safety awareness – adhere to food hygiene standards, compliance, and hazard removal.
  • Support resident food services across up to 6 services per day, including room service.
  • Clean kitchen and dining room areas and related equipment for the next service.
  • Support Chefs to prepare dining areas for events, family gatherings and/or special occasions.
  • Prepare all condiments, food service equipment, stock preparation and trip/spill removal, upholding a high standard of kitchen and dining operations.
  • Support with preparing small food and drink items (could be from cafe operations) as required.

This role is fast paced and physical, requiring bending, squatting, lifting and pushing. You should be able to perform tasks safely without risk to yourself, colleagues or residents.

Pre-employment notes

To be successful in this position you will be required to complete pre-employment checks including an online medical and work rights. You will also need to hold a current NDIS clearance and/or be willing to apply. Part of your application will include providing proof of age (e.g., driver's license or age card). If you don't have this, you will need to apply via state-based Department of Transport websites.
