An opportunity has arisen for a Business Acceptance Officer to join our Risk & Compliance team on a full time, permanent basis.
Working as part of our Global Risk & Compliance Department, the Risk Assessment, Business Protection & Conflicts Team is responsible for ensuring the firm is protected from reputational, legal, and commercial risks. This includes analysing all new clients and matters to identify and resolve legal and commercial "conflicts of interest", ensuring compliance with anti-money laundering and counter-terrorist financing (AML/CTF) obligations, and meeting international regulatory requirements for sanctions, politically exposed persons (PEPs), and client-related negative press.
The role is ideally suited to an individual with a clear and confident communication style, strong analytical and research skills, and a desire to work collaboratively with a dynamic and motivated team. The successful candidate will have a keen eye for detail, an interest in current affairs, and the ability to work well under pressure. A legal qualification is not essential, but problem solving, professionalism, and sound judgement are key.

ResponsibilitiesAs part of the Risk & Compliance team, the Business Acceptance Officer analyzes new clients and matters to identify and resolve conflicts of interest, ensures compliance with AML/CTF obligations, and meets regulatory requirements related to sanctions, PEPs, and client-related negative press. The role requires clear communication, analytical skills, and the ability to work with colleagues across the global firm to mitigate reputational and commercial risk.
Qualifications- At least one year of experience in Risk and Compliance in the professional services sector or relevant exposure through studies
- Knowledge of AML/CTF obligations
- Knowledge of international sanctions regulatory work is desirable
- Strong organisational and research skills, attention to detail and ability to work well under pressure
- Ability to demonstrate good judgement and an inquisitive mind
- Good teamwork and diplomatic issue-resolution abilities
- Flexible, versatile and able to adapt to new situations, processes and technology
- Analytical ability
- Attention to detail
- Experience with Microsoft Word and Excel
