A day in the life:

Attract, Engage, Capture – the lululemon Area Community Senior Manager is responsible for leading the team that pioneers brand advocacy in new markets and strengthens brand resonance in existing markets by driving brand awareness and building relationships. Reporting to the Brand + Community Director, the Senior Manager is a people and industry leader whom defines, creates and executes an integrated national community strategy through an innovative mix of traditional marketing and grassroots community building. This leader is accountable for understanding how lululemon creates authentic and scalable connection points and amplifies key brand moments across both Australia and New Zealand.

Key responsibilities:

  • Community Strategy & Leadership: Develop and execute innovative community growth strategies to support overarching brand objectives; collaborating with business stakeholders, driving both market expansion and deepening community engagement.
  • Roadmap Development: Create and implement an annual community roadmap aligned with local and global business priorities in partnership with the Senior Manager, Brand Marketing, setting measurable objectives to track community impact.
  • Program Oversight: Lead diverse community programs (e.g., Sports Marketing, Ambassador Programs, Retail Community + Events) to ensure engagement and business growth.
  • Team Leadership: Manage a team of community program leads, setting clear KPIs and ensuring initiatives focus on guest acquisition, retention, and business performance.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between community teams and broader brand & business stakeholders across market, region and global teams, ensuring timely alignment, collaboration and seamless communication across teams.
  • Data-Driven Decision Making: Utilize insights to elevate programs and provide regular reports on community initiatives' impact and success.
  • Brand Advocacy & Industry Leadership: Represent the brand externally, building relationships with key community leaders and staying ahead of industry trends to drive innovation.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing or business-related field and 10+ years' experience in the marketing field
  • You make connections with your community easily and effortlessly and thrive on building relationships
  • Successful experience in a management position with proven ability to provide direction to other managers
  • Proven ability to negotiate, influence and collaborate with other key decision makers in a complex matrix environment
  • Strategic thinker who has delivered results through execution
  • Excellent managerial skills, with a reputation for being flexible, energetic, hardworking, inspirational, enthusiastic
  • Able to work in a fast paced and lively environment, work to deadlines, work quickly to change, and give & receive feedback
