As Our Principal Contract Management Officer, You Will:

  • Provide high-quality and timely contract administration for the Program's high-value and high-risk contracts stream or the general contracts stream, including monitoring performance through formal review meetings with contract managers and suppliers.
  • Provide advice and structured support for routine sourcing activities undertaken by the Program, including contingent labour engagements.
  • Provide expert advice on contract issues as required by the Program, including extensions, renewals, variations, and the escalation of underperformance and complaints that cannot be resolved locally.
  • Prepare contract variations and extensions, ensuring appropriate processes and documentation are maintained.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain effective relationships with stakeholders, delivery partners, and external service suppliers.
  • Conduct site visits as necessary to forge and maintain productive relationships for swift issue resolution.
  • Lead the development, review, and endorsement of contractual documentation for complex, medium to high-risk strategic contracts.
  • Conduct vendor and supply chain management, analysis, planning, and reporting.
  • Promote a culture of service delivery and high performance, encouraging personal and team development and work/life balance.
  • Lead, mentor, coach, and train staff to develop necessary skills and motivation.
  • Contribute to business planning and resource prioritisation.
  • Provide input to the development of procurement policies, systems, and procedures.
  • Enhance the capability and profile of Contract Management within the organization.
  • Perform other duties as directed.

You may also have:

  • Queensland Government Procurement Certification (highly regarded)
  • Knowledge and experience with Contract Management policies, procedures, or frameworks, preferably in government or public sector environments.
  • Experience with SAP is highly desirable.

Licences and registrations

  • Current unrestricted C class driver's licence.

Applications should remain current for 12 months.
