Technical Sales & Partnership Consultant
OverviewThis role is pivotal in driving sales and cultivating strategic relationships with growers and key influencers in the agricultural and horticultural industries. Your extensive industry knowledge and network, combined with your experience in AgTech sales, will be your key assets.
Key Responsibilities:Sales and Business Development- Drive the Sales Team's success by achieving budgeted sales targets through strategic farm acquisitions and fostering quality revenue growth.
- Develop, build, and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders in the agricultural and horticultural sectors, focusing on identifying and prioritising new business opportunities in the cotton industry.
- Take ownership of business development within the AgTech sector, ensuring the growth of our customer base in Southern New South Wales and Northern Victoria.
- Provide continuous support to the Customer Success Team, including equipment planning, deployment, installation, and after-sales services.
- Assist INCYT partners, dealers, and installers across the region as needed.
- Deliver training to key partners and customers to ensure proper operation and maintenance of our product features and applications.
- Coordinate and attend industry events that are critical to sales success and revenue growth, delivering presentations as required to uphold company standards.
- Stay informed on industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies to shape partnership strategies and uncover new opportunities.
- Collaborate closely with the Sales, Marketing, Operations, and Product teams to ensure alignment and maximise opportunities for expanding sales.
- Uphold excellent customer satisfaction by providing top-notch technical support and adhering to company guidelines in commercial dealings.
- Proven experience in technical sales, preferably within the AgTech or agriculture sectors.
- A qualification or significant experience in Agronomy, Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Comprehensive understanding of IoT technology applications in agriculture.
- Established industry networks within the agricultural sector are highly desirable.
- Strong negotiation, presentation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience working with farmers and understanding their operational challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to turn data into actionable insights.
- Ability to travel regionally and nationally to meet with clients, attend events, and support the sales team.
- Technical Expertise: Deep understanding of AgTech products and their applications within agriculture.
- Relationship Building: Ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with industry stakeholders, clients, and partners.
- Sales Acumen: Proven ability to drive sales, identify new opportunities, and achieve revenue targets.
- Customer Focus: Commitment to providing excellent customer service and support.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly and persuasively.
- Collaboration: Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams to achieve common goals.

- Adaptability: Ability to stay updated with industry trends and adapt strategies accordingly.

- Tools and Technology: Skills in Microsoft Office (or similar) systems, CRM and sales data analytics.
