Overview

UGL is well-known for end-to-end engineering, construction, and maintenance services. Our New Energy business unit is growing rapidly, and we are looking for skilled and motivated individuals to join our team. We pursue project opportunities in Solar, BESS, Wind, and hybrid fossil fuel generation, hydrogen, and ammonia projects. We are actively seeking an experienced Construction Manager - Electrical to join our upcoming Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) project.

Responsibilities
  • Direct and control site construction activities on the project to ensure that standards of quality, cost, safety, and performance are observed and that time schedules are met.
  • Plan and stage construction works, as well as new works.
  • Interface with engineering, procurement, commercial, quality, material handling and expediting logistics functions to ensure construction activities can take place immediately once on site.
  • Ensure sufficient resources (equipment and people) are provided on a project so that it can be delivered safely.
  • Monitor the physical and financial progress of work.
Skills and Qualifications
  • Extensive construction experience with working on Renewable or Utilities projects.
  • Degree qualifications or equivalent in Electrical Engineering with extensive experience relevant to the responsibilities of the position.
  • MUST HAVE Electrical Nominee Certificate
  • Construction Card, along with a current and valid driver's license.
  • Equivalent construction tickets and safety certifications
  • Knowledge of OHS and Environmental legislation, Codes of Practice and Standards as they apply to the construction industry.
