PHE Mining has opportunities for highly motivated HSE Advisors to join our team on a project in NSW.

Reporting to the HSE Lead, this role will ensure a culture of safety and quality on site, as well as maintain compliance with management systems. You will be responsible for providing HSE support, training, and building safety knowledge across our team in both surface and underground environments.

This role involves working in an Underground Mine with a roster split between day and night shifts.

About You
  • Diploma in OHS or a minimum of Cert IV in WHS and TAE
  • Internal Auditing training (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of WHS and Environmental legislation, standards, and codes of practice
  • D&A testing qualification or ability to obtain
  • Return to Work Coordination Qualification
  • Previous experience as an HSE Advisor on industrial electrical construction projects
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong safety leadership skills
  • Highly organized with excellent attention to detail
About The Role
  • Provide leadership to promote Work Health, Safety & Environment throughout the site, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and implementing best practice management systems
  • Conduct regular training needs analysis and manage internal audit programs in consultation with management
  • Prepare reports, record data, and gather evidence of compliance
  • Manage workers' compensation matters, including rehabilitation, case management, and return to work programs
  • Report workers' compensation issues to management
  • Ensure all personnel work safely and comply with all relevant WHS & Environmental Acts and Regulations
  • Conduct random D&A testing on site
  • Identify non-conformances related to health, safety, and environment, investigate issues, and develop solutions for implementation
