Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia Gold Coast Hospital Foundation Full time

Who we are

Gold Coast Hospital Foundation is the official charity for Gold Coast Health. As a locally-based community organisation, we raise funds to support patients and their families by delivering local health programs and projects. Our purpose is to relieve medical hardship caused by illness, injury or disability while supporting the incredible patient care provided by Gold Coast Health medical professionals.

We fund and deliver vital equipment and services to improve patient experience, including:

  • Cancer Patient Transport
  • Emergency Accommodation
  • Purchasing medical equipment and aids
  • Funding hospital-led health research
  • Improving hospital facilities and patient spaces
  • Providing scholarships for Gold Coast Health staff

About this role

Join a small, friendly team making a big impact from our prime location at Gold Coast University Hospital. We value collaboration, flexibility, and celebrating wins together – with one day a week WFH, regular social catch-ups, and a culture that genuinely supports each other's success.

The Foundation has an ambitious strategic plan which relies upon fundraising growth to deliver programs that positively impact patients and their families. If you are passionate about helping patients and their families overcome medical hardship, then this is your chance to shine as an integral part of small and vibrant team.

This role focuses on nurturing and developing long-term partnerships with major donors, corporate partners, and local businesses in order to deliver on financial targets. You will play a key role in identifying and cultivating meaningful relationships, creating thoughtful engagement plans that engage and inspire our partners over time.

With a passion for helping our community, you will use your strong organisation, research, and relationship-building skills to ensure that all activities are delivered to the highest standard and on time. Your proven ability to convert gifts highlights your capability to coordinate and support income-generating activities that lead to major contributions from individuals and businesses.

Key responsibilities

  • Contribute to the development and delivery of annual fundraising strategies for corporate partnerships and major donors.
  • Identify, research, and secure new business and donor opportunities, including cash gifts/sponsorship, in-kind support, and community fundraising initiatives.
  • Proactively manage relationships with donors, ensuring personalised engagement, stewardship, and alignment with their philanthropic goals - developing tailored cultivation and retention strategies to grow major donor support.
  • Build, manage, and grow a portfolio of high-value partners, ensuring ongoing engagement, stewardship, and retention.
  • Develop and maintain a strong partnership pipeline, from initial prospecting through to acquisition and long-term relationship management.
  • Develop and deliver tailored stewardship and engagement plans to strengthen supporter relationships.
  • Collaborate with leadership and internal teams to maximise partnership opportunities across campaigns, events, and matched giving initiatives.
  • Contribute to broader organisational needs as required, including attending and supporting events, activations, and community engagement activities.

About you

You are an experienced nonprofit fundraiser with a proven ability to secure significant income from corporate partners and major donors, and a talent for building strong, long-term relationships that deliver meaningful impact.

Essential

  • Demonstrated success in securing significant income from corporate partners and/or major donors, with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding annual targets.
  • Proven relationship management skills, with experience delivering high-value donor engagement and stewardship.
  • Experience developing and managing a robust prospect pipeline, including research and strategic planning.
  • Creative, solutions-focused approach with a proactive, collaborative work style.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Nonprofit fundraising experience - health/medical charity experience highly regarded.
  • Commitment to the Foundation's mission and values, with a positive and team-oriented mindset.

Desirable

  • Experience working within a moves management framework.
