Overview

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced and results-driven National HSEC Manager to support safe, compliant, and high-performing operations across our sites and plant within the Bowen and Galilee Basins in QLD. This role is more than just HSE delivery and is a critical leadership pipeline role, designed to develop into a future General Manager position for the right person.

You'll provide hands-on support, coaching, and leadership to operational teams while also influencing regional strategy. This is an ideal opportunity for a safety leader with strong operational knowledge who is ready to broaden their leadership impact and step into a more senior, business-wide remit.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the implementation and continuous improvement of HSE policies, standards, and procedures across multiple sites.
  • Lead incident investigations and support root cause analysis.
  • Partner with regional leadership to deliver strategic HSE outcomes that align with business priorities.
  • Coach frontline leaders to embed a proactive safety culture and drive accountability.
  • Deliver and oversee HSE training, audits, and compliance assessments.
  • Ensure alignment with Federal and State Regulations and industry standards.
  • Manage health, injury management, and return-to-work programs.
  • Represent the business with regulatory bodies, industry forums, and community stakeholders.

What You Bring
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline (preferred).
  • 7+ years of experience in a senior HSE role, ideally within high-risk industries (explosives/dangerous goods experience highly regarded).
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 45001, and ISO 14001 systems.
  • Demonstrated success influencing HSE culture and driving performance improvement across multiple sites.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Accreditation in Rehabilitation and Return-to-Work Coordination.
  • Relevant security clearance or ability to obtain.
  • A commercial mindset with ambition to progress into broader operational and general management responsibilities.
