Overview

NSW Health Pathology is seeking dedicated and experienced Environmental Services Officers – Cleaners to join our team on a Permanent Full Time basis. In this role, your cleaning expertise will contribute directly to the safety and comfort of staff and visitors by maintaining the highest standards of hygiene and infection control across our facilities.

Your responsibilities
  • Responsible for performing all aspects of cleaning and associated domestic duties to ensure a clean and safe facility, and to comply with NSW Health Pathology (NSWHP) and Work Health & Safety (WHS) Policies.
Qualifications and experience
  • Extensive experience in a laboratory, healthcare environment or in a commercial/industrial cleaning role
  • Sound understanding of industrial standard cleaning techniques, with the ability to apply the most appropriate cleaning agent and method
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment, and to be self-motivated when working individually
  • Strong written communication skills, including reading and understanding chemical labels, and the ability to communicate within a multidisciplinary staff environment
  • Knowledge of Work Health & Safety principles, including safe manual handling techniques
  • Current NSW driver's license and willingness to travel as required by the role
  • Ability to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence

Occupational Assessment and Vaccination

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand NSW Health Policy Directive PD2024_015 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Infectious Diseases. All recruits must comply with the policy requirements at their own cost prior to appointment.
