ADS Team Manager

Overview

ADS Team Manager - Counselling & Treatment Service at Canberra Health Services. This is a temporary vacancy within the ADS Leadership Team as the Counselling and Treatment Services Team Manager. Responsibilities

• As a leader for a multidisciplinary team, ADS Team Managers provide professional supervision and clinical leadership to staff delivering public healthcare services for people experiencing concerns associated with substance use. This includes providing clinical expertise, contributing to policy and service development, collection and management of service data, and supporting professional development in consultation with senior clinicians/professionals.
• ADS staff maintain collaborative treatment and care practices with individuals who are accessing alcohol, tobacco and other drug (ATOD) treatment via ADS programs. This involves supporting clinical screening, assessment, and identification of psychosocial needs, psychoeducation, therapeutic and group-based interventions, advocacy and facilitation of onwards referrals where required.
• This position reports to the ADS Senior Manager and involves regular liaison and collaborative work with other MHJHADS program areas, government and non-government services in the ATOD, mental health, and justice-associated sectors, and engagement with other external stakeholders.
• ADS Staff are required and supported to undertake professional development, engage in clinical supervision, participate in quality improvement and service development initiatives, and contribute to multidisciplinary team processes. Team Managers at this level are expected to provide clinical supervision to other MHJHADS staff.

Qualifications

• Employment Type: Full Time, Temporary, 6-month contract with possibility of extension and/or permanency.
• Classification: Health Professional Officer Level 4/ Psychologist Level 4 (PN 28407). Note: The role will be filled at either Health Professional Level 4 or Psychologist Level P4 depending on qualifications and experience, in line with the Enterprise Agreement.
• Salary: HP4 $125,344 - $139,120 (Plus 12% Super); P4 $133,437 - $140,285 (Plus 12% Super)

• Closing Date: 4 September 2025
• Pre-employment and compliance: Undergo a pre-employment National Police Check; Current registration under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011; CHS Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination policy; CHS credentialing and scope of clinical practice requirements for allied health professionals.
