Some of your responsibilities include:
  • Assessment, measurement, fabrication and provision of orthotic solutions suited to the specific needs of adults and children with disability.
  • Provision of comprehensive orthotic services in line with various funding body requirements e.g. NDIS, Enable NSW.
  • Fabrication of orthoses using traditional and/or digital methodologies.
  • Provision of centre-based and community-based services (where appropriate).
  • Provision of multidisciplinary solutions alongside Northcott's Allied Health team (pedorthists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists).
  • Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders, including the customer and their support network.
  • Participation in emerging opportunities including research, pilot projects and service innovations.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Tertiary qualifications in Orthotics and Prosthetics.
  • Current registration with The Australian Orthotic Prosthetic Association (AOPA).
  • Experience working as a clinician within the disability sector.
  • Knowledge of strengths-based practice, as well as family and person-centred approaches.
  • Experience in leading critical reflection, applying theoretical frameworks and referring to research and literature to inform clinical practice.
