CCA's Moreton Bay site is due to open in October, designed to provide comprehensive cancer care. The Moreton Bay Specialist Medical Centre will offer Radiation Oncology, Medical Oncology, Haematology, Oncology Pharmacy, Clinical Trials and Research, Radiology, Breast Clinic, Pathology, and dedicated consulting suites for specialists. Our world-class, evidence-based medicine is delivered without waiting lists in a compassionate and comfortable environment, with a flexible fee structure including bulk billing to ensure life-saving treatments are accessible closer to home. We are open to part-time hours as part of our commitment to flexible working. Proposed working hours are Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm.

Responsibilities
  • Clinically review patients and their oncology protocols.
  • Dispense medications.
  • Complete medication reconciliation processes.
  • Actively participate in research and clinical trials.
  • Dispense and check prescriptions in accordance with PBS regulations.
  • Assist with stock and inventory management.
  • Compound aseptic cytotoxic and non-cytotoxic products in a pharmaceutical isolator.
  • Provide education and counselling to patients.
  • Assist in coordinating clinical trials and compassionate access programs.
  • Contribute to the Oncology AMS program.
  • Attend Site Selection Visits (SSVs) and Site Initiation Visits (SIVs).
  • Read, understand and review clinical trial protocols relating to investigational product (IP) compounding, IP accountability, standard operating procedures, and reporting of the pharmacy's role in clinical trials.
  • Participate in quality assurance activities.
  • Develop and maintain key relationships with oncologists.

  • You thrive in a multidisciplinary team of specialist doctors, nurses, and other medical personnel providing cancer services.

Requirements
  • Bachelor of Pharmacy or higher.
  • Current registration as a registered Pharmacist with AHPRA and the Pharmacy Board of Australia.
  • Professional indemnity insurance.
  • Effective interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Oncology/hospital pharmacy experience is desirable.
  • Impeccable time management and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, meet deadlines, and manage multiple tasks.
  • Demonstrated ability in complex problem-solving with high attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Strong patient focus, placing the patient at the centre of every decision.
  • Enthusiastic, motivated, and adaptable in a supportive environment.
  • Demonstrable computer skills in a Windows environment, including proficiency in word processing and Excel spreadsheets.
  • Criminal Record Clearance and Proof of Vaccination Record for healthcare workers are required.
