Full-time, Fixed Term (HEW 8) - $116,551 to $131,257 + 17% Superannuation
Salary: Competitive + 17% Superannuation and Flexible Working Arrangements

About You
Are you a hands-on social media strategist with a passion for storytelling and audience engagement? RMIT is seeking a dynamicSocial Media Managerto lead our global social media presence across organic and paid channels. You'll manage a small team of four, drive performance across platforms like Instagram, TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook—and ideally WeChat, Weibo, and Little Red Book—and play a key role in enhancing brand visibility, supporting student recruitment and alumni engagement
The role provides strategic input into campaign development, oversees the delivery of social media activities across always-on and time-bound initiatives, and supports the amplification of key university events such as Open Day and global recruitment
To be successful in this position, you'll have:
Proven experience developing and executing anddelivering engagement goalsfor integratedsocialmediastrategies across paid and organic channels.
Broad knowledge of social media platforms and audience behaviours.
Desirable (but not essential) experience with China-specific platforms such as WeChat, Weibo, and Little Red Book.
Strong leadership skills, with experience managing and mentoring a small teambased in Australia and offshore.
A proactive, hands-on approach to content creation, campaign execution, and performance optimisation.
Excellent stakeholder engagement and project management skills.
