About the Role

We are currently looking for experienced SMP Piping Supervisors and SMP Mechanical Supervisors to join our construction teamemployed on a project based role working on site at Yatala, on a 10-4 roster.

As part of the pre-employment process, you will need to complete & pass a Pre Employment Medical, drug and alcohol and audio testing.

Site Allowance - $2.00 per hour on site.

Interstate Allowance - $2.00 per hour on site.

RDO accrual

17.5% Annual Leave loading

Duties including but not limited to:

Supervise and manage the installation, maintenance, and inspection of structural, mechanical, and piping systems.

Ensure all work complies with project specifications, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.

Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met.

Review contract and specification to develop methodology and staffing requirements to meet or exceed contracted requirements.

Ensure equipment and materials are delivered at specified times to conform to work schedule and contract requirements.

Liaise with and direct personnel and subcontractors engaged in planning and executing work procedures, interpreting specifications, and coordinating various phases to prevent delays.

Liaise with engineering personnel and inspectors and suppliers of equipment and materials to resolve construction problems and improve construction methods.

Inspect work in progress to ensure that workmanship conforms to contract specifications and the construction schedule is adhered too.

Developing in-depth understanding of the project scope and developing QA Documentation Package(s) in accordance with the Contract and SOW.

Providing support to the project manager and superintendents as required.

Creating and reviewing of reports.

Knowledge of industry best practice and Australian Standards.

Quality system ISO 9001 compliance.

Essential – Skills, Qualifications, Attributes and Experience:

White card.

Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or related trade.

Strong leadership qualities to inspire and lead your team effectively.

Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in our dynamic work environment.

Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar position within Mining & Industrial Infrastructure.

Must be able to read structural, mechanical and piping drawings and specifications.

Ability to manage schedules and deadlines.

Ability to multitask and complete tasks in parallel.

Highly organised and a strong communicator.

Ability to analyse information.

Ability to meet deadlinesand prioritise tasks.

Ability to understand and follow verbally or written instructions.

Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing.

Excellent communication with clients, contractors and fellow. Employees.

Proficient in spelling, punctuation, grammar and other English language skills.

Proven high quality experience producing correspondence and documents.

Proficient in using Microsoft office products and comfortable with using clients project software

Ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with other employees, managers and Client Stakeholders.

Ability to evaluate and implement appropriate work methods.

Assess situations and problem solve to find best outcomes for all parties.

Ability to observe proper safety precautions.

Ability to complete tasks efficiently to high quality standards.

Ability to use reason and judgment to problem solve.

Think outside the box for solutions.

Punctual.

Essential Skills and Experience:

Tertiary qualifications in mechanical engineering or related trade.

Strong leadership qualities to inspire and lead your team effectively.

Adaptability and problem-solving skills to thrive in our dynamic work environment.

Current Drivers Licence.

OHS White Card.

Previous experience on a mine site is desirable.
