About The Role
A collaboration between Cancer Council Queensland and Queensland Health, the Statewide Support Services for Women with Cancer project aims to deliver evidence-based client-centered support and information services and programs that respond to the needs of women affected by cancer and their families, as well as identify gaps and pressure points in the existing service system.
As the Specialist, Statewide Support Services Project you will provide development and oversight of the successful delivery and evaluation of this valuable initiative.
This role is Part-time, 30 hours per week.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will be able to develop and implement annual project plans; plan, deliver and evaluate key outcomes; make recommendations for project development and work collaboratively to identify gaps in service, opportunities and barriers to services for Queenslanders, especially focusing on women living in regional and remote Queensland.
Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge And Skills
- Qualification or relevant experience in Health, Community services or related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in scoping, planning and development of multi-stranded community projects.
- Demonstrated experience in responding to multiple and diverse stakeholder needs whilst ensuring the needs of the project are met.
- Demonstrated high-level experience in project coordination including monitoring budgets and report writing.
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated experience in working successfully with geographically dispersed teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and the ability to quickly acquire new skills.
- Current Queensland driver's licence is required
- An understanding of the impact that the diagnosis and treatment of cancer has on individuals, their partners and families is desirable, but not essential.
