About the opportunity

Are you detail-oriented, customer-focused, and ready to grow your career in local government? As aProperty Rating Officer, you'll play a key role in supporting fair and accurate property rating helping Council deliver essential services to our community. You will make an impact by

• Ensuring accurate property records and valuations to maximise Council revenue.
• Processing rate notices and waste management charges with precision.
• Supporting internal teams and ratepayers with expert advice and data.
• Contributing to business improvement and customer service initiatives.
• Assisting in the recovery of outstanding rates and managing concessions.

What you will bring

• Knowledge and understanding of municipal rates, valuations, titles, and subdivisions
• Experience using property systems and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Strong communication and customer service skills, with a problem-solving mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
• Familiarity with TechOne, CRM, SharePoint, and Open Office systems (desirable).
• Knowlegde about relevant legislation, including the Local Government Act and the Privacy Data Protection Act.
