About The Role

Advance your physiotherapy career with a rewarding Physiotherapist role in Tamworth where you will gain diverse and exciting experience within varied caseloads, across inpatient wards. You will be supported to upskill across multiple clinical areas within Tamworth Rural Referral Hospital, including Orthopaedics, Fracture Clinic, Surgical and Medical wards, Critical Care, Rehabilitation and Musculoskeletal. There is also exposure to maternity, women's health, burns, paediatrics, hands, amputee care and hydrotherapy. You will develop autonomy while receiving support from senior physiotherapists to treat diverse clinical presentations. You will contribute to high-quality care as part of a multidisciplinary team, with structured education and ongoing professional development.

You will be supported by senior physiotherapists and the Physiotherapy manager and will become part of the Hunter New England-wide professional network. Education is a focus, with ongoing training, professional practice supervision, and development activities tailored with your supervisor or senior clinician.

Responsibilities
  • Gain valuable clinical experience across multiple clinical areas.
  • Be supported by an experienced Physiotherapy team for your professional development.
  • Work collaboratively with a welcoming Allied Health team.
  • Contribute to the health and well-being of the Tamworth community.
  • Engage in sustainable healthcare initiatives and continuous improvement.

Requirements
  • Physiotherapist with current Authority to Practice with AHPRA.
  • Current eligibility to drive in NSW and the willingness to travel for work which may involve driving long distances.

  • To be eligible for permanent employment you must be an Australian Citizen, a permanent resident, or a New Zealand citizen with a current New Zealand passport. Temporary visa holders may be considered only if no suitable local candidate is identified, and only for the visa duration.
