About NBMLHD: Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District provides public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow regions. Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital offering a broad range of tertiary referral services.

What You Will Do

This role involves managing a busy caseload within acute hospital settings, with a strong preference for experience in respiratory and surgical areas. You will apply advanced clinical skills in assessment and treatment, communicate effectively with patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams, and contribute to discharge planning and service coordination. A commitment to evidence-based practice, professional development, and collaborative care is essential.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality physiotherapy services across specified clinical areas
  • Assess, diagnose, plan, implement and evaluate patient care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
  • Participate in discharge planning and service coordination
  • Contribute to quality improvement and evidence-based practice
  • Engage in professional development and maintain AHPRA registration where required
Qualifications
  • Degree in Physiotherapy and National Physiotherapy Registration with AHPRA
  • Demonstrated ability to provide clinical services across a broad range of clinical areas
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong time management and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team
  • Commitment to professional development and knowledge of Quality Improvement and Evidence Based practice
  • Current Driver's Licence and willingness to use for work-related travel
