Employee Relations Consultant - 12 month contract

We are seeking an Employee Relations Consultant on a 12 month contract to join our Employee Relations team in Sydney, providing strategic and tactical support integrating and adapting through an exciting acquisition and period of growth.

  • Leading the ER and IR workstreams to support the integration and adaptation of a strategic acquisition to support senior management, transformation teams and most importantly, our people.
  • Advising, influencing and coaching business managers to improve the employee experience and overall organisational performance by providing specialist advice on performance management, conduct and employee relations issues in the context of the acquisition.
  • Utilising your Fair Work Commission experience to navigate enterprise agreements, transformation opportunities and assuring compliance.
  • Collating and recording Employee Relations data to identify trends and develop appropriate remedial strategies, working with Key HR functions and business leaders to implement.
  • Fostering a proactive and collaborative relationship with the Finance Sector Union, key HR functions and business leaders to support and deliver the transformation project aligned to key strategic priorities, HR policies, and procedures.
  • Working with the Head of ER to deliver the Employee Relations Strategy and empower business leaders to improve the employee experience.

About you

  • Tertiary qualifications in ER, HR, Law, or Business.
  • Experience in ER or HR preferably in the financial industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and application of employment and industrial legislation through change, including enterprise agreements, Awards and other employment instruments.
  • Demonstrated ability to coach and influence senior colleagues in the business.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of communicating with audiences at all levels with clarity, impact, and influence.
